Base color: a makeup color that is used to represent the overall desired color of the character. You may wish to remove the makeup colors from the plastic palette for ease of use. Stippling or patting makeup on: a process where cream makeup is applied using a sponge to apply the makeup with an up and down motion instead of a streaking motion.
Application Instructions 1. Begin with a small portion of the black stipple sponge and a small amount of black makeup from the makeup palette. Apply the makeup in a stippling motion onto the area that is going to have the 5 O’clock Shadow effect. 2. With a clean portion of the black stipple sponge, stipple a light amount of the bruised red makeup across the cheeks, nose and brow area. Lightly buff the red makeup to smudge the color, causing a broken capilary effect. This will give a sunburnt or weathered look to the character. 3. Using the brush and the bruised red makeup, draw a line down one cheek to represent a scar. 4. Set your makeup with colorless powder and a powder puff. It may leave a slight haze to the makeup; you can prevent this by using a damp powder brush or damp tissue, and lightly brushing over the top of the makeup. 5. Add blood from the blood tube over the top of the red scar makeup if you want a fresh cut look.
Removal Use a small brush or cotton swab to rub a small amount of Cinema Secrets Makeup & Adhesive Remover onto the skin. Be careful when working around the eyes, to not get any remover in the eyes. Rinse the skin using a towel and warm water.
